FAQs
How do I get a library card?
We now have two ways to get a library card!
For immediate access: Use this form to register for a temporary library card. Please note that it will last for 30 days and to continue using our resources once it expires, you will have to stop in and finish registering for a physical library card. Please bring an ID and something recent with your current address on it (ex. a utility bill).
For a physical library card: Just stop on in while we are open! We’d be glad to get you set up in our system. We will need to see an ID and something recent with your current address on it (ex: a utility bill) to finalize things. Children under 18 must have a parent present to sign up for a library card.
How do I use the public computers?
Stop on by during our open hours! We have four computers available for patrons.
Can I print, copy, fax, or scan?
How can I renew items?
Items can be renewed over the telephone or online. Click “My Account” at the top of the Library’s website and log into your account to check your current checkouts, loan history (once you enable your reading history), and to renew your items.
Items will be automatically renewed once if there are no other patrons waiting for the items.
Can I donate books or media items?
What about our Local History Collection?
Due to the ongoing Expansion and Renovation Project, our Local History Collection is not available. Please contact the Amenia Historical Society if you have any questions.
