FAQs

How do I get a library card?

We now have two ways to get a library card!

For immediate access: Use this form to register for a temporary library card. Please note that it will be valid for 30 days. To continue using our resources, you will have to stop in to complete the registration. Please bring a current ID and a current bill, lease, deed, etc. for verifying your registration information.

For a physical library card: Just stop on in while we are open! We’d be glad to get you set up in our system. We will need to see a current ID and a current bill, lease, deed, etc. for verifying your registration information. Children under 18 must have a parent present to sign up for a library card.

How do I use the public computers?

Stop on by during our open hours! We have four computers available for patrons.

Can I print, copy, fax, or scan?

How can I renew items?

Items can be renewed over the telephone or online. Click “My Account” at the top of the Library’s website and log into your account to check your current checkouts, loan history (once you enable your reading history and only going forward from that point), and to renew your items.

Items will be automatically renewed once if there are no other patrons waiting for the items.

Can I donate books or media items?

What about our Local History Collection?

We have a limited collection of local history items and appointments are required, prior to the day of your visit. Additionally, the Amenia Historical Society has a variety of local history items available as well.
